The research program that dictated that this blog go on hiatus is still underway, but enough information has been gathered and processed to determine that the current understanding of the interaction of the individual Christian with the State has been perverted to support the subversion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to "endorse" a social program and policy that is claimed to be in the spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, but is actually contrary to it and hostile to it. Thus, after some prayer and consultation with God via the Holy Spirit, I have determined that it is time to revive this blog and re-purpose it to educating Christians in their proper role vis a vis various social and political trends and policies.
This education process has, as a goal, the changing of people's attitudes and expectations, and will be done by a combination of a clear exposition of scripture that prepares the way for the slaughter of sacred cows, along with, quite frankly, a good deal of divine illumination: one of the findings of my research is that the very act of artistic creation (writing in my case) is not just a channel whereby God speaks to me, but has its origin from God, in the same way that God, through the Holy Spirit, directly interacted with the creative individuals of the newly freed Hebrew nation to help build the Tabernacle in the Wilderness.
I would be disappointed if liberal Christians did not, after reading my essays, label me a religious fanatic, along with other uncomplimentary terms, for I will be be advocating for a more radical commitment to cooperating with God in helping mankind rather than cooperating with "the arm of flesh": they are the weeds seeking to choke out the good seed sown by the Sower. Theuy are the hot sun seeking to scorch the young plants that grow up from that same good seed.
I note that the blog software is very old, and so will be working on the blog engine to upgrade it, with the intent that older postings continue to be available. I hope to soon re-enable comments with the hope that the newer software will have better tools to control spam.
I part with the following:
The problem with Liberal Christians is that they depend on Government to solve problems rather than they themselves learning from, and trusting in, God to solve the problems and teaching others to do the same.
Unfortunately, Conservative Christians are not exempt from the analogous problem of depending on themselves to solve problems rather than they themselves learning from, and trusting in, God to solve the problems and teaching others to do the same.
However, Conservative Christians have the advantage over their Liberal brothers and sisters in realizing their error and coming to this truth much more quickly. This is because they often won't believe it until they come to the end of their resources.
Liberal Christians won't believe it until they come to the end of everybody else's resources.
