"Day by Day" removed from blog list

Link: http://www.daybydaycartoon.com/

I have removed "Day by Day" from my blog list, but you may click on the title of this entry to go to the site and install a link to it.

My reason for removing it is somewhat personal and complicated, and can be read via the link below:

...

I have been fasting from Sunday night to Friday night for the last month, originally to help raise funds for World Vision, but now to help raise funds for a land purchase on behalf of a sister church in Africa that my Church has aided in the past: instead of buying breakfast and lunch at work, I squirrel the money away in an envelope in my clothes bureau and use the house grocery money to buy juice to drink instead of extra food for myself. The budget is not strained at all, my fellow believers get land, and I get the opportunity to work on my spiritual condition via a method used by all the Old and New Testament saints. I've also lost about 18 pounds, which is nice but incidental.

Two weeks ago, while fasting, I received a revelation about a pet sin of mine, as well as of the current age: sexual temptation. My imagination is rather active, and given our sex-sodden media, it tended to run in the direction the world dictated. In fact, I've had problems with porn ever since I came across my dad's stash in the garage at the tender age of 9 years. (And don't tell me it isn't harmful: that's the standard World's line, and I'm intent on listening, and following, God's line.)

Actually, the revelation had nothing to do directly with porn: rather, it was a revelation about the nature of the Old Man: that part of human nature that Paul describes in Romans that remains in the life of all humans EVEN AFTER they come to believe in Jesus Christ and are saved. One of the results of salvation, Romans teaches, is that one receives a New Man, created after the image of Jesus Christ, who lives within the believer, and which strives with the Old Man.

This strife within is the main cause of discomfort in the believer. The strife itself is distressing: who wants to fight against old habits when one's desire is to turn over a new leaf? It is also a tool that is leveraged by the World when the believer proclaims the Gospel: Why should they believe the Gospel when the advocate still sins? Isn't that hypocrisy? In actuality, no. Hypocrisy is when you proclaim that certain acts done by others is a sin, but when you do it, it is NOT a sin. It is NOT hypocrisy if you apply the SAME rule to yourself that you apply to others. This sort of dictinction is understood by believers, and is either ignored by, or unknown to, non-believers, mainly because the believers experience this strife between two natures. Non-believers do not understand it, because they do not live it: They have only the Old Man within, who has no competition from the New Man, and thus no internal strife. (Hypocrisy is what I would call a "second level" sin: a sin that arises when one tries to deal with the consequences of committing a separate ("first level") sin that is NOT hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is to sin what a cover-up is to embezzlement.)

Now, for the longest time, I've heard from people that the Old Man and the New Man are not only opposed to each other, but are equals, and the outcome of their conflict depends on where the "I" decides to lean. One pastor compared it to voting: the Old man votes one way, the New Man votes another, and you vote to break the tie. Another pastor, in explaining how to overcome the Old Man to a Navajo Indian, compared them to two dogs equally matched fighting each other: if you take one and lock it up and don't feed it, that's the one that will lose, and YOU are the one who decides which one to feed and which one not to feed.

The Revelation I got totally contradicts all this thought, and resolved a lot of questions. In a nutshell, when God breathed into Adam the breath of life, He made Adam a spiritual being that was rooted in three dimensions. I.e. Angels and God are four dimensional beings (time is NOT the fourth dimension. See below) in which no dimension is tied down, while man's spirit is also four dimensional, but with the first three tied to the three dimensions with which we are familiar.

Now, I have been told that when Adam sinned, his spiritual nature died. My revelation says no: instead, it was de-normalized to three dimensions, with one of the dimensions being ONE OF THE THREE WE ARE FAMILIAR WITH. I don't know which one (height, width, depth), but if we were to look at the Old Man in four dimensions, we'd see him FLAT, infintely thin, in one dimension, but that dimension is NOT the fourth. The reason God said man would die is that if the fourth dimension had gone flat, the Old Man would have materialized physically and occupied the same material space Adam's body did: picture the effect of a hand appearing in the same space as your intestines, and you'll get an idea of what would have happened to Adam. The reason God wanted to prevent Adam from eating from the Tree of Life is that the Tree of Life was a HEALING tree: eating of its fruit would have healed Adam's body if he incurred injury, and it would have healed the Old Man, restoring all four dimensions. What Adam passed on to his descendants, to us, was a de-normalized human spirit.

Because Jesus was born of God and not of Adam, his body may have been mortal, but his spirit was direct from God, not from Adam. Thus, Jesus's spirit HAD ALL FOUR DIMENSIONS. If our New Man is made after the Image of Jesus, then IT HAS ALL FOUR DIMENSIONS as well.

Now, when I talk about beings with three or four dimensions, I am talking about something that is MATHEMATICAL in nature: Physical science cannot detect the fourth dimension because all of our sensors, all of our measuring instruments, and all of our information propagation methods (sight, sound, touch, taste, smell) are all all physical, and thus constricted to three dimensions. It is simply not possible, mathematically, for a three dimensional entity to detect a fourth dimension IF IT DOESN'T HAVE THAT DIMENSION. A materialist is totally out of the loop and is in no position to say that there is and there isn't a fourth dimension. The original book that explains about this is "Flatland". (It has helped that, in a previous job, I had the privilege to have, as a co-worker, a gentleman who had his students work in four dimensions because of his conjecture that a periodic table of diatomic elements was a fourth dimensional structure, the various properties of which were projections of it into three dimensions.)

Now, I am not the kind of person to demand that EVERYONE give heed to my revelations: Indeed, being neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet (Amos), I don't give automatic heed to my own revelations: I do not believe every revelation, but test them in the laboratory of life. When given a revelation of this sort, I use a modified scientific method: I form a hypothesis, devise an experiment, run the experiment, evaluate the results, and then modify the hypothesis as necessary. Rinse and repeat. This is the way one practices, in their own life, experimental Religion. The value of each of the "holy scriptures" of each religion is in the hypotheses they can help you formulate to test, and guidelines for conducting the experiments.

Now, to me, realizing that the New Man is four dimensional, while the Old Man is three dimensional, created a whole raft of implications that leads to this hypothesis: The New Man is NOT the equal to the Old Man, but infinitely superior. There is simply no way that a three dimensional being can win in a fight with a four dimensional one. A four dimensional mosquito can bring down a three dimensional elephant by slipping into the elephant's brain via the dimension THE ELEPHANT DOESN'T HAVE, and sting the brain repeatedly. The resultant swelling will make the elephant collapse. A fourth dimensional being can reach into a three dimensional man's belly and pull out his intestines by slipping in via the fourth dimension.

So if the New Man is four dimensional and thus superior to a three dimensional Old Man, why was the New Man always losing to the Old Man?

Simple. Three dimensional THINKING.

The best illustration of this was given in the third Star Trek Movie, The Wrath of Khan. Kirk sent the disabled Enterprise into a Nebula to disable the sensors of Khan's ship. Khan proceeded to search for the Enterprise visually. While the hunt proceeded, Spock analyzed Khan's strategy and informed Kirk that Khan was searching in a plane: "He displays two dimensional thinking." was Spock's pithy explanation. Kirk immediately dropped the Enterprise out of the plane of Khan's search, waited, then rose back up into it behind Khan's ship to enable Chekov to nail it.

It should not surprise us if the New Man is not familiar with four dimensional fighting: *I* was told to read my Bible, pray, and witness "to feed and educate our New Man". Why complain or quibble if knowledge about having four dimensions is lacking as well?

Once I realized this, and believed it, it has been a spiritual ROUT. One of the problems I have is NAGGING temptation: a temptation that doesn't go away, but continues to whine, nag, and gnaw with the persistence of a Jihadi or a Leftist, and all my former prayers seemed useless against it. I've gotten pissed at God for not lending me aid, because it seemed to me that the Old Man was getting PLENTY of aid from his fourth dimensional compatriots. Well, duh: why should God help my New Man, when my New Man did not need help, but information on how to fight? Once I figured this out, the New Man had no trouble USING the information. Temptation hangs on, but for a MUCH shorter, and much more endurable, period of time. (This is a pattern I've seen in my personal dealings with God: He always keeps His promises, but often delays fulfilling them to encourage me to adjust my personal theology: Living an Experimental Religion is my way of being systematic when adjusting that theology.)

Now, how does all the above relate to the removal of "Day by Day"? If you follow the cartoon, you'll know that Damon, the black conservative, and Jan, the female liberal, are getting close and personal. Opposites attract, as the saying goes. However, while the conversations are political, the situations depicted by the graphics are patently sexual at times. Things came to a head last weekend when Jan, ah, illustrated an interesting European custom regarding bathing wear (or the lack thereof). Not X rated, of course, but too suggestive for someone with my particular past. And certainly too suggestive for someone with a traitor living in him (the Old Man) clutching at any slight suggestion to mount an assault that he hopes will cause me to dismiss this idea of a four-dimensional New Man who, at this moment, is pounding the spiritual shit out of him. (Any similarities between the behaviors of the Old Man and of Lefties is doubtless foundational.) I should probably have gotten the clue earlier, that with Jan being depicted with slouching pants that show off her G-string straps AT WORK.

Think I'm a prude? A weak person? Old fashioned? Out of touch? Un-modern? TOUGH FUCKING SHIT! Right now, I'M WINNING THE SPIRITUAL BATTLE, and I'm NOT letting FAILED modern thoughts about sexuality try to shame or embarass me into A LOSING POSITION. I AM GOING TO FUCKING WIN THIS WAR WITHIN.

Think of me as a religious fanatic? YOU BETCHA. Nobody faults athletes for turning down invitations to parties and abstaining from certain foods, drinks, and activities, when they are in training: It is OBVIOUS that athletes with a passion and desire to win will deny themselves of things that seem perfectly okay to others. People today admire that sort of behavior, and call it "dedication", not "fanaticism". But let that "dedication" be focussed on religion, and it is called FANATICISM. (Meanwhile, they poo-poo identical fanaticism in Muslim Jihadis.)

One thing I quickly learned since that time is that control over my thought life must be strictly maintained, which means being ruthless in selecting what one reads and sees. This specially includes what I see on the Internet, and because my blog list is what I, personally, use to peruse the internet, "Day by Day" has to come off so I don't go there. Do you resent the fact that I am strict with my thought life? TOUGH SHIT! The only reason you'd resent that is that YOU want to influence my thoughts to further YOUR AGENDA. There's only gonna be one person who will decide what I think, and its gonna be ME, not some fuckass, god-dammed, atheist opinion-maker who'll go broke if he can't make people change their opinions for his cause.

Obviously, to fight this, some will try to compare my dropping "Day by Day" with the Danish Cartoon Controversy. Patently, there are many obvious differences, and only a lame-brain who can follow only one connection at a time will conclude, based on one similarity, and incapable of processing, or deliberately ignoring, multiple dissimilarities, that the situations are the same. I'm not protesting in the streets (but the muslims are), burning buildings (but the muslims are), threatening to kill people (but the muslims are), and hacking into the servers (which the muslims would do if they could). I don't even intend to do even a legitimate protest by sending an e-mail objecting to the site content: They have a right to control what appears on their site, AND SO DO I ON MINE. Anyone who compares dropping a link from a privately owned and run blog-roll to threatening the lives of those owning the site to which the link points, clearly has problems comparing ANYTHING in real life, and doubtless FAILED those quizzes in "Highlights" which ask two and three year olds "which of these are the same?".

Now, I know that there are those who, despite getting lost in my discussion of four dimensional beings, are actually HAPPY that, whatever the hell Ptah learned, its helping him be a BETTER person. You are my brothers and sisters, and my allies, and none of the above criticism applies to you. My desire is that you understand it as well, and one of the reasons for this blog was to document my findings while engaging in Experimental Religion. That documentation has been slow in coming, mainly because I could not consider my spiritual life as successful as long as the battle between the Old Man and the New Man raged. Indeed, until now, I could not honestly recommend the Christian life to one that did not have a pre-existing and hot passion for truth, mainly because life becomes HARDER when one turns to Christ, NOT EASIER. You've got the World, the Flesh, and the Devil after you, and you have a traitor and fifth-column within fighting on their behalf. Hell, it's TOUGHER than the War on Terror because the tactics are the same AND you don't have an on-off switch to shut up the screaming and hollering of the Old Man like you do your computer, TV, or radio when you don't want to hear the traitorous MSM any more.

Praise God, I can now.

I anticipate an increase in the intensity of the battle when I hit the "PUBLISH NOW" button: the Dark Forces arrayed against the souls of all good men will feel obligated to act in the same way that the Iraqui Jihadis feel after an optimistic speech by a U.S. official on the course of the war there. The only difference is that I have better evidence that the Dark Forces are losing than I have that the Iraqui Jihadis are losing. They know it, I know it, and they know that I know it. Thus, posting may become even more erratic as I will be fielding more shit than normal. But when I DO post, it will be a lot more useful.

The nature of a war radically changes when new weaponry and new tactics are introduced. The nature of the spiritual War that started in Eden has just as radically shifted. Not due to new weaponry or new tactics, but from a quantum leap in the capabilities of the warrior fighting it.

Stay tuned.

You haven't seen anything yet!
