Communist Genocide

Another bird sings...

Former Khmer Rouge head of state Khieu Samphan acknowledged Tuesday for the first time that his regime committed genocide, ahead of his expected appearance at a U.N.-sponsored tribunal.

Despite the ravings of the left, more people have been killed by kings, tyrants, and dictatorships than by democracies. I think that the last war between democracies was the Falklands War, between Great Britain and Argentina, although I am open to correction with regard to the Balkans.

Note: Mr. Mendenhall has kindly corrected me, in that Argentina was being ruled by a Junta at the time of the Falklands War, and started it to divert attention from their misrule.

Argentina at the time was not a democracy, being run by a military junta headed by a General Galtieri.
